Tokiko Maekawa is a 3D architectural visualizer. Since 2004, she has been active in Paris, collaborating with architectural 3D visualization studios such as ArtefactoryLab, JEUDI.WANG, and currently studio olivier campagne. Over the years, she has contributed to projects for internationally renowned architectural firms including Ateliers Jean Nouvel, Shigeru Ban Architects, Gehry Partners, Herzog & de Meuron, Kengo Kuma & Associates, Moreau Kusunoki, OMA, Projectiles, RDAI, and Zaha Hadid Architects.

She visualizes architects’ ideas depicted in 2D drawings and 3D models, transforming them into photorealistic architectural renderings using 3D computer graphics. In her work, she not only meticulously represents the details and materials of the structures but also incorporates elements such as the ambiance upon completion, human flow, and the movement of light and wind, seamlessly integrating the surrounding environment into the imagery. Her goal is to create visuals that evoke the narratives born from the architecture, inspiring those who view them.
